MOVING HEAVY
EQUIPMENT TO SITE

Borgy’s supported the movement of a large piece of mining equipment from a regional transport depot to a remote mine site, providing practical support throughout the journey.

The size and weight of the equipment required careful preparation before departure, including reviewing the proposed route, identifying challenging sections and coordinating the pilot vehicles required for the movement.

Once underway, our team worked closely with the heavy haulage driver and project crew to maintain clear communication, manage changing road conditions and provide support through intersections, narrow sections and site access points.

  • Large mining equipment
  • Oversized transport movement

  • Pilot vehicles

  • On-road coordination

THE CHALLENGE

The movement involved a combination of regional highways, narrower access roads and restricted site entry points. The equipment’s dimensions meant each stage of the journey needed to be considered carefully, particularly where road width, traffic conditions and turning space became limited.

The Result

The equipment reached the mine site safely with the movement supported throughout the journey. Clear communication between the pilot vehicles, driver and site team helped keep the transport organised and allowed the final site entry to be completed smoothly.
